How do you check the battery health on your Samsung Galaxy phone, and does it need to be replaced ?

Battery health is a parameter that measures the "health" of the battery in your Samsung Galaxy phone. This condition deteriorates over time due to various factors, including the limited number of charge cycles the battery supports, leaving the phone charging overnight, or using fast charging. This is how you eventually end up with a swollen battery that needs to be replaced.

By default, you usually can't see this information on Samsung devices, but you can access it by installing the official Samsung Members app. This app allows you to check not only the battery's condition but also diagnose various device components from your phone's settings.

If the battery health status indicates "Good" or "Normal," you can continue using your phone as usual. However, if it shows "Bad," your battery is likely degraded, possibly swollen, and may have a short lifespan. In this case, it is recommended to replace it.

As mentioned, the advantage of using the Samsung Members app is that it "activates" the battery health option within the phone's settings. By default, this information is hidden, but with the app, you can make it visible.
